FAQs

  • WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY PROCEDURE?
All clients receive a pre treatment plan in order to be prepared for their treatment. It is imperative that the pre treatment care is followed to have the best possible results.

    • Autoimmune Diseases

    • Botox within 30 days of procedure
    • Accutane in the past year
    • Psoriasis, Rash or Sunburn on or around treated area
    • An Allergy to Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine
    • Previous Permanent Tattoo (Done with a machine)
  • WHAT WILL AFFECT MY NEW BROWS?
Sun exposure: The sun fades the pigment faster so sun block & hats should be your new best friends! The regeneration of skin cells: The longer the regeneration takes, the longer the pigment holds. Not following aftercare instructions. Exfoliating Acids. Excessively Oily Skin Types.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
The treatment will fade over time and a touch-up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure and then every 12 months. Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including sun exposure, chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, etc.), how active the client is, and how fast each individual’s cell turnover is. Please note that final results and time frame cannot be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. Touch ups are needed for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring 2 or more visits. It is very common and normal for microblading to fade substantially the first time it is done which is why it requires layering and is a two to three step process. Previously tattooed eyebrows may require one or two additional appointments and rarely achieve the same results to those who have no previous tattoo work because of the existing scar tissue and colour under the skin, even if it isn’t visible.
  • WHAT IS THE COST?
The initial microblading session is $650 and the 6-8 week touch up is included in this price. An additional touch up is required at least every 12 months which is $450. If you do not return within the 12 month period, it will be considered a full microblading treatment.
  • DOES MICROBLADING HURT?
Topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. Most clients say it does not hurt at all! However, please note you will be more sensitive on your menstrual cycle.
  • WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is an advanced technique of cosmetic tattooing that is done by a process of implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin with a row of micro sterile, disposable needles that form a blade shape which will produce the appearance of hair where there isn’t any, or add more to enhance and create fullness where hair already exists. This is with a manual hand tool, not a machine.
